The
Conzelmann laboratory has an open position for a talented and dedicated postdoctoral
researcher to work on the neurotropism and biology of SARS-CoV-2 in murine and human
iPSC-derived brain cells. The studies include engineering and pseudotyping of BSL1/2
rhabdo- and coronaviruses (see e.g. https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.10.02.324046v1).
We offer the opportunity to work on a highly topical project in an
interdisciplinary team of enthusiastic virologists and neurobiologists. Required qualifications include analytical
thinking, creativity, diligence, good communication and interpersonal skills,
and a PhD in the biomedical sciences, MD, or DVM degree. Experimental skills in
cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or cellular neurobiology are necessary.

Experience in cell signaling, genetic
engineering of cells or viruses, imaging, high content genetic screens is
welcome.

The full time position is limited to 1 year (DFG
COVID-19 Focus Funding) and is available shortly.
Salary
will be in accordance with the German TV-L.
