Dear participants,
It is a great pleasure for us to announce the 12th German-Austrian AIDS Congress and on behalf of the entire congress presidium we would like to cordially invite you to the DÖAK 2025 in Vienna!
After exactly 20 years, the largest HIV conference in the German-speaking world is back in the Austrian capital and once again we have the pleasure of positioning the topic of HIV in the Vienna Hofburg, one of the most extraordinary congress venues.
Located in the heart of Europe, Vienna has always played a role in building bridges and strengthening cooperation. The DÖAK 2025 is all about this unifying task and sees itself as a place for interdisciplinary encounters at eye level.
Under the title "HIV in ¾ time", we would like to highlight the diversity of topics relating to HIV and bring a wide variety of content to the congress floor in equal measure. The keywords "Prevention - Therapy - Cure" are symbolic of the many areas, such as basic research, clinical practice and psychosocial issues, which must interlock in order to shape the future together.
Because a future that enables the best physical and mental quality of life for people with HIV, in which all prevention options can be used to the best possible effect and individually, and which paints a vision for an end to the HIV epidemic, requires expertise and commitment at all levels.
With this in mind, DÖAK 2025 extends an invitation to all colleagues and students from the virology, infectiology and medical fields, to employees and students from all areas of care, to members of the comprehensive psychosocial fields of activity and the many teams with a prevention mandate, and in particular to all people with HIV, to take a further step into the future together.
