The German Society for Extracellular Vesicles (GSEV) comprises over 250 scientists and professionals dedicated to advancing research in extracellular vesicles (EVs). Their goal is to promote collaborative, high-quality, and high-impact research on EVs and in particular to support young researchers in their career. As partners of international and European EV initiatives, they aim to increase scientific exchange and progress in our field.

Their Annual Autumn Meeting 2024 will be held in Hamburg. The GSEV warmly invites virologists at any stage of their engagement with EV research—from the curious to the experienced—to participate in the meeting. This year’s highlight includes the ‘EV Immunity & Infection’ session, featuring a keynote lecture by Gisa Gerold. Because of the high degree of overlaps in methods and biology of virology and EV research, the GSEV aims to increase the collaboration between the communities. Therefore, GSEV encourages you to register and submit abstracts on related topics.

Apart from EV-virus topics, the meeting will cover various aspects of EVs – from EV methodology, liquid biopsy, EV biology to their roles in pathology and cancer and potential therapeutic applications. Sessions will be introduced and chaired by leading experts in the corresponding fields including Klaus Pantel, Roland Wedlich-Söldner, Clotilde Théry, Marca Wauben, Gorjana Rackhov and Joachim Spatz.
