Oktober 13, 2021 - Oktober 15, 2021
Due to the ongoing corona pandemic and the associated planning uncertainties regarding the implementation of face-to-face events, the Zoonoses 2021 - International Symposium on Zoonoses Research - after the very successful premiere in 2020 - will again take place online.
It will take place from 13.10. - 15.10.2021 and will be under the guiding theme "From disease ecology to SARS-CoV-2". We are pleased to announce that the following speakers have already agreed to give a keynote speech:
Sarah Cleaveland (University of Glasgow, UK)
Chelsea Wood (University of Washington, USA)
Jose de la Fuente (University of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain)
Florian Krammer (Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, USA)
Shi Zheng-Li (Wuhan Institute of Virology, China)
The registration is now open! You can register online here
The Abstract Submission is now open. Please submit your abstract online here.
Please note: To submit an abstract you`ll need a registration-ID (so please register online first) AND – as in the last years – an indico-profile. You can create an indico-profile online here.
Abstracts will be accepted on the following topics:
Antimicrobial Use and Resistance
Bioinformatics, Data Assessment
Ecology of Zoonotic Infections
Vaccines, Innate and Adaptive Immune Response
New and Re-Emerging Zoonotic Diseases
Novel Methods, Diagnostics and NGS
Pathogenesis and Modelling of Zoonotic Diseases
Risk Assessment, Epidemiology and Modelling
Please note that you may only submit one abstract per person. You may submit this either for a talk or for a poster presentation. The scientific committee of the symposium will evaluate the abstracts afterwards. You will then be notified in due course whether your abstract has been accepted and for which presentation format. Please note that the space for oral presentations is limited.
Young scientist submitting an abstract for poster presentation declare their willingness to participate in this year’s virtual poster slam. For this slam, a 1-minute presentation in the form of a pre-recorded video must be submitted (submission deadline for the video will be communicated separately).
All accepted abstracts will be published in our digital abstract book – unless you object to this at the time of submission.
No conference fees will be charged
After the success of the last year, we are looking forward to welcoming you virtually at our “Zoonoses 2021 – International Symposium on Zoonoses Research (Online-Edition)” in October.
Please keep an eye on your email, our website and facebook and twitter account for further announcements. Feel free to share the attached “Save-The-Date”-Card in your institutes and among interested persons.
